**Effective January 1st 2023** |
Starting January 1, 2023, we will be moving away from a triennium timeline and implementing a new CEU process in which members will be required to submit 10 CEUs every year by December 31.
The CEU standards have changed slightly in order to reflect the new requirement of 10 per year. You will now use the CSCT CEU forms to outline your submissions rather than the provincial forms. These documents are posted on the NBSCT and CSCT websites. Members will continue to submit their CEUs on their provincial member profiles.
There is a CSCT committee consisting of up to 10 members in good standing, a committee chair, a representative from every province as well as the CSCT Education Director. As a result of New Brunswick provincial legislation (Bill 54), the Provincial CEU coordinator will be responsible for verifying documents and ensuring all members are in compliance. The Provincial CEU coordinator will be reviewing and updating members online profiles quarterly (March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31)
On January 1st, member profiles will be audited by the CSCT to ensure each member has 10 CEUs submitted. The CSCT committee will ultimately determine the validity of your submitted CEUs and the approval of your documents will be at their discretion. Members who have not met the requirements will be contacted via email. If you have lapsed, your status will be changed to ‘Not in good standing’ due to CEUs noncompliance and you will have to follow the updated reinstatement policy to return to ‘In good standing’. A CEU Committee email address will be posted on the CSCT website for all members to use for questions, comments, and appeals.
